Welcome to the new year! It’s already 2018, can you believe it?
In the past, I never really cared about the beginning of a new year nor had I ever really felt the urge to change anything or make any new years resolutions. But this time it’s been a bit different. I don’t know why I felt this way and I don’t know what pulled the trigger – I just know that I’m really glad that 2017 is over and I’m ready for a new beginning.
Not that 2017 had been all bad, but at the end of the year I felt weak and could bring up any motivation for anything anymore. I’m sure you know the feeling when you feel stuck in your life and can’t escape the black hole you’re in? It’s not because you don’t know what’s going wrong and what you need to change (you know this exactly), but you feel like paralyzed and can’t transform your ideas into reality. Well, that’s kinda how I felt in the end of 2017. I knew it was still somewhere inside me, I just needed a new push to get back at it again.
And what’s better than a new year to start when you need to get your focus back on track? Even if it may sound silly, the beginning of the new year helps me to cut the line between the past and the future and frees my mind to settle back to what really matters. So I’m grateful for this new year and can’t wait to make it the best one yet! What about you?
