Easy Tip – How To Keep Your Foundation From Creasing

I guess all of us women know the struggle about foundation ending up settling into our creases. This can be really frustrating and doesn’t look very pretty. But luckily there is one simple trick to avoid this misery. And in the video here I want to show you how.

The reason why this even happens is usually because we tend to use too much product. The excess product then searches its way into your wrinkles and moves around on your face during the day. So one really simple step to keep this from happening is applying your foundation and concealer very economically. But of course it isn’t always easy to pick exactly the right amount of product. Therefore the trick of pressing a tissue over your face afterwards can really help. It gets rid of any excess product that otherwise would have ended up in your wrinkles and fine lines. It’s a very simple trick but for me it really works.

I’ve been doing this for a while now and it’s become part of my daily makeup routine. The idea of this video came from a post on the blog the beauty department. A makeup artist shares her trick how to prevent your concealer from creasing. I transferred this idea to my whole foundation routine and it works wonders. My foundation looks great during the whole day. Really something I’ve been struggling with in the past. But since I do this trick it changed up the whole game. I really want everyone to know this and integrate it into their beauty routine too. It’s such a simple, quick and affordable trick everyone can do. That’s exactly what we all are always looking for when it comes to beauty tips, isn’t it? So I hope this video is helpful for you.

Please let me know if this trick works for you as well. I’d love to know. And is there any other trick you know that you would like to share with the rest of us? Can’t wait to hear it!

I’ve tried pressing down the tissue and it really works…I have also red that Halle Berry applies red lipstick and then pressues her tissues to it so the most of it gets off and the lips end up looking naturally reddish. I’ve tried that a couple of times too….maybe I should do it again? what do you think? does that makes sense?

Hi Ivana, cool that you tried it and it works for you too! Yeah with the lipstick I do something similar to make it last longer and it really works too. Exactly I do the following:
After applying the lipstick, take a thin tissue and press it onto your lips softly. The tissue needs to be really thin. So I usually use toilet paper but only one layer! So if you have toilet paper that has three layers separate them carefully with your fingers and only use one layer.
Then I take a big powder brush and translucent powder and apply this on to the toilet paper that sticks on my lips. Then just remove the tissue and your lipstick stays on for hours! :-) I hope it is understandable like this. But you know what, I’ll do a blog post about it within the next days so I can document every step exactly. I’ll let you know once it’s up! ;-)

Oh and what I forgot to write: when I want my lips just to look naturally reddish I just put some red lipstick on my fingertip and apply it onto my lips from there. Like this you can use the product very economically and only create a little hint of red on your lips ;-) but I think this with the tissue maybe works here too. I’ll try it for sure! :-)
