It’s been almost three weeks since I left California. Back in study mode with my head stuck in books and papers… I miss it a lot. In particular I miss that special someone. But one of my biggest goals right now is to finish my bachelor degree in Business Administration at university of Bern. So I have to suffer through some hard times once more until it’s finally all over soon. I’m so excited for the time after university. I have so many cool things planed that I can’t wait to put my hands on and share with you guys. But first things first.
As I’m constantly daydreaming of my life on the other side of the ocean I wanted to share some pictures from my last trip to California. Those pictures were taken at a very magical place: The Montgomery Memorial Chapel. Built in 1897 mainly for religious purposes it nowadays serves for commercial events such as concerts or weddings. The heavy doors and the beautiful stained-glass windows give this building a very unique look. Also Orchid, (the band from SF), already used this place for some pictures. So it was really exciting for me to take some shots there too. Plus the sun was about to set and the lighting was perfect. I love how you can see the sun rays shining through in certain pictures.
For the outfit I’m wearing a complete Forever 21 look. The white summer dress, the brown cut-out booties, the stitched bag and the round sun glasses, (I got for less than $100 all together). The turquoise bracelet I found at a fun shop in China Town in San Francisco for about $5 and the snake-band on my upper arm I bought in a little boutique shop in San Luis Obispo. As always my rings are a mixture of accumulated treasures from all over the world. Overall it’s a very simple look but when it’s hot outside you’re glad to not be all covered up in layers. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do!
If you’d like to recreate my look I have some more inspiration below. The bag I’m wearing is still available. However the shoes and the dress I couldn’t find online anymore. But I found some great alternatives for you. (And OMG my heart is melting when I look at the Raga Floral Crochet-Paneled Dress. It’s so pretty!)
